MUNSHIGANJ, Oct 26 (Agencies): Four people were killed and 29 others injured in two separate road accidents on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Gazaria upazila of the district on Sunday.
Two of the deceased were identified as Masud Rana, 18, and Khadem Ali, 23 while identities of others could not be known.
Officer-In-Charge of Bhaberchar Highway Police Station Sergeant M Saiful Islam said a Comilla-bound bus of Homna Paribahan collided head-on with a microbus, coming from the opposite direction, at Tetuitala in Gazaria upazila, leaving the driver and a female passenger of the microbus dead on the spot and four others injured at noon.
The deceased couldn't be identified yet.
The injured were sent to different hospitals in the capital.
Police seized the bus but its driver managed to escape.
In another incident, two people were killed and 25 people injured as a bus fell into a ditch at Farazi Kandi area in Gazaria upazila in early Saturday.
