Four killed in two city road crashes

Four people were killed and two others injured in two separate road accidents in the capital's Tejgaon and Science Lab areas on Friday night.

A truck rammed a motorcycle at the Science Lab intersection around 11:00 pm, leaving one of its riders dead on the spot and another injured.

The injured, a teenage girl, was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared her dead. The deceased were identified as Saju Ahmed Sumon (45), and his daughter Sumaiya Ahmed Trisha (19).

Four individuals suffered serious injuries when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw hit the traffic island in Tejgaon area around 10:30 pm on Friday.

The police identified the dead as Md Alim (40), driver of the CNG-run auto-rickshaw, and Md Harunur Rahman, (32) a resident of Mohakhali area.
