Four more held in Tangail 4-murder case

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in separate raids arrested four persons including two accused in the killings of a mother and her three daughters at Mirzapur from Tangail, Gazipur and Dhaka Wednesday and Thursday, reports BSS.
The arrestees are Md Kawsar Mahmud Swapon, Asif Islam, Abul Kashem and Nur Mohammad Nipu. Of them, Kashem was number two accused while Nipu was number seven accused in the murder case.
RAB-12 personnel first arrested Swapon from Baraibari Village under Kaliakair Upazila of Gazipur district Wednesday while Asif from Bashtail area under Mirzapur Upazila of Tangail around 4.25 pm Thursday, an official release said.
Following information extracted from the duo, RAB later arrested Kashem and Nipu from Lohar Bridge area under Kamrangirchar area in Dhaka.
Earlier on October 7, a gang of criminals led by Jahangir, murdered Hasna Begum (30), wife of expatriate Mojibur Rahman and her three daughters -Manira (14), Mim (6), and Moly (4) after torching their house by pouring petrol at Dakkhin Sohagpara village under Mirzapur Upazila in Tangail district. Mofazzal Hossain, brother of Hasna, filed a murder case with Mirzapur thana accusing 10 persons. Neighbour Jahangir Alam was made the main accused in the case.
