Four nabbed for 'killing' cop

Detective Branch (DB) police arrested four people for their alleged involvement in killing a traffic police constable, Moniruzzanan Talukder.

A team of Dhaka metropolitan DB police during a raid arrested them from different areas of the capital city on Saturday night.

Deputy Commissioner of DB police of Tejgaon division Md Golam Sabur confirmed the matter to the media.

One of the arrestees confessed his involvement in killing Moniruzzanan Talukder, he said. He also said that more teams of DB police were working to nab others involved in the killing.

Moniruzzaman was stabbed to death near Sezan Point in the capital's Farmgate area on Saturday morning on his arrival in the city from Sribordi upzila of Sherpur district after celebrating Eid-ul-Adha with his family.
