Four unnatural deaths in city

Four youths were killed in separate incidents in the city's Mirpur, Sayedabad, Jatrabari and Kamrangirchar Wednesday, reports BSS.

Two of them were electrocuted, one allegedly committed suicide while the death of remaining one shrouded in mystery.

The victims were identified as Abul Kalam (22), a construction worker, Abul Kalam (25), a roadside tea vendor, Liton Mia (20), employee of a workshop and Md Saddam Hossain (22), a salesman. Both Kalams died after they came in contact with live wires at Mirpur-10 and Sayedabad under Jatrabari thana, police and witnesses said.

However, Saddam allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan at his Rasulpur residence under Kamrangirchar thana around 10:00 am following an altercation with his wife Heera while the death of Liton was shrouded in mystery as the case behind the death could not be known immediately.

Liton was a worker of Rahmani Aluminum Workshop at Uttar Jatrabari. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with critical injuries and soon after his admission, the doctors on-duty pronounced him dead.
