Foyez Ahammad, special correspondent to the English daily New Age, has been appointed as the senior assistant press secretary to Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser (CA) to the interim government, reports bdnews24.com.
A notice to the effect was released by the Ministry of Public Administration's Contract & Foreign Employment Section on Thursday.
The notice said that Foyez has been appointed as a senior assistant press secretary-equivalent to a deputy press secretary-to the Press Wing of the Chief Advisor's Office at a salary of Tk 69,850 at the 5th grade pay scale for the tenure of the chief advisor's term or subject to his satisfaction.
Shafiqul Alam, former Dhaka Bureau chief of AFP, is serving as Yunus's press secretary.
