French minister arrives in city today

Martin Hirsch, French High Commissioner (with the status of a minister) for Active Inclusion against Poverty and High Commissioner for Youth, arrives in Dhaka today (Saturday) on a two-day visit, French Embassy in the city said Friday.
During the visit, Martin Hirsch, who has been very much involved in social issues for 20 years, will visit various projects including Grameen-Danone Project in Bogra, an example of social business in joint venture between two Bangladeshi and French groups.
He will also visit micro-finance programmes undertaken by Grameen Bank, and discuss various issues with Dr M Yunus.
Hirsch will also meet some government high officials, including Minister for Social Welfare Enamul Haque Mostafa Shahid.
