Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of NSU M A Kashem addressing the Health and Life Science students as the chief guest at a programme held at the university on Friday.
The orientation programme for the newly enrolled graduate students for summer 2015 of the School of Health and Life Sciences of North South University (NSU) was held in the city on Friday, says a press release.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of NSU M A Kashem was present on the occasion as the chief guest. Vice Chancellor of North South University Professor Amin Sarkar chaired the programme.
The programme began with the welcome speech by Chairman and Dean of the School of Life Sciences of NSU Professor Dr G U Ahsan, followed by the special guest General Secretary ICAAP-2 of UN Joe Thomas and CEO of Rtv Mr Ashik.
The speakers emphasised the importance of health education which is needed for our country. Chairman of BOT of NSU M A Kashem also illustrated on the value of health education worldwide. He also shared his future plan to establish a Bachelor in Nursing and Counselling programme at NSU.
During the programme M A Kashem was presented with a crest by the VC of NSU. Later, Mr Kashem awarded a token of appreciation crest among the special invitees.
