Freshers' reception at EW University

East West University (EWU) accorded a gala reception to its freshers in different undergraduate programmes under the fall semester-2007 at the university auditorium Wednesday.
The reception was held in two separate functions. Former Vice-Chancellor (VC) of National University Abdul Momin Chowdhury was the chief guest at the first function while VC of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) was the chief guest at the second.
Both of them called upon the newly admitted students to become more creative and communicative alongside developing their inner qualities to serve the nation in the days ahead.
President of board of directors of EWU Jalaluddin Ahmed made the welcome address at the ceremony with university's VC Mohammed Sharif in the chair.
EWU dean of Sciences and Engineering Faculty Abu Saleh Abdun Noor, registrar Shah Murtoza Ali and deputy registrar Mashfiqur Rahman, among others, spoke on the occasion.
A total of 135 students have been enrolled in eight disciplines of the university under the fall semester.
