Garment workers injured in Gazipur road crash

GAZIPUR, Nov 17 (UNB): At least 40 garment workers were injured, one critically, as a bus carrying them plunged into a roadside ditch at Bhogra in Sadar Upazila Tuesday morning.
Police said the bus with 50 workers aboard fell into a ditch at about 7:45am as the driver lost control over the vehicle, leaving 40 people injured.
Five of the injured were admitted to Tongi Hospital while the rest given first aid at local hospital and clinics.
The bus was carrying the workers of Athletics Garment Factory to their workplace when the accident took place.
Meanwhile, a young man was killed in a gun attack near Shalna overbridge in Sadar Upazila Monday.
