Germany provides 0.50m Euro for flood relief

The German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has provided 500.000 Euro for the relief of flood victims in Bangladesh, reports BSS.
The ministry said the money would go to the World Food programme so it could send extra supplies of food and drinking water to the affected areas, a German Embassy press said today.
The German Foreign office allocated an additional amount of 100,000, Euro to the German NGO "NETZ".
NETZ will provide and distribute, in cooperation with their local partners, food packages containing 15kg of rice, 1 kg of lentils, 1 kg of salt, 1kg cooking oil, 2kg baby food, 1 kg sugar, candles, matches and soap to 10,000 of the most affected families.
Five hundred families who lost everything will get building materials to rebuild their homes, NETZ will also provide medicines and emergency treatment.
