Ghashful gets new executive committee

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year 2021-22 of Ghashful (a development organisation) was held at a city hotel on Wednesday, says a statement.
President of Ghashful Executive Committee and Senate member of Chattogram University sociologist Dr Monzur-Ul-Amin Chowdhury presided the meeting in the presence of head of various NGOs, members of the Ghashful general body and its Chief Executive Officer Aftabur Rahman Jafree.
Md Wahidul Alam, Assistant Director, and Sabbir Hossain, Officer of Department of Social Services, Ministry of Social Welfare were present.
Ghashful's Advisory Committee member Suraiya Zannat FCA, health professional Dr Nizam Uddin, Shipa Hafeeza, tribal development activist Sarah Marandi, artist Samina Nafeez, writer and musician Jannat-e-Ferdousi were also present.
General Secretary of Ghashful Executive Committee Shamiha Salim presented a complete report on various developmental activities of the organisation.
Revised budget of the organisation for the financial year 2021-22 and the budget for the financial year 2022-2023, appointment of auditor and income tax advisor were approved in the meet.
Vice-President of Ghashful Executive Committee, Shib Narayan Kairy, former vice-chancellor of Emirates Bangladesh Agricultural University, Prof MA Sattar Mandal, Parveen Mahmud FCA, Prof Dr Zainab Begum, former vice-chancellor of Khulna University Golam Rahman, former Principal Secretary to Prime Minister's Office Dr Abdul Karim, Dr Moinul Islam Mahmud, renowned banker KAM Mazedur Rahman, Shahana Muhit, Shamiha Salim, Md Ohiduzzaman, Zareen Mahmud Hosein CPA, FCA, Jhuma Rahman spoke, among others.
Joint General Secretary of Ghashful Executive Committee Kabita Barua, General Body members Dr Salima Hoque, Mafruha Sultana, Zahida Ispahani, Jahanara Begum, Yasmeen Ahmed, Shahana Muhit and former General body members Shahidullah and Nazneen Rahman were present. Auditor SanjidaAktar FCA, Dr Sakib Rahman were also present.
A new Executive Committee of seven members was formed unanimously for three years from July 2023 to June 2026, which will be effective from July 01, 2023.
The members of the new Executive Committee are: President- Dr Monzur-Ul-Amin Chowdhury, Vice-President- SN Kairy, General Secretary-Mafruha Sultana, Joint General Secretary- Shahana Muhit, Treasurer- KAM Mazedur Rahman, Executivemember - Professor Dr Zainab Begum and Parveen Mahmud FCA.
