Girl gang-raped holding lover hostage in Rajbari

RAJBARI, Apr 11 (UNB): Miscreants gang raped a girl holding her lover hostage at Shalmara village in Baliakandi Upazila Friday night.

Shah Alam Shikder, son of Shahjahan Shikder of Bajitpur village in sadar Upazila of the district, said she along with his lover was going to the house of victim's friend at Alankarpur village in Balikandi in a van Friday evening.

A group of four young men intercepted them in the Shalmara-Alankarpur area. They took them to a Gorai River char where the miscreants beat them and took away their belongings, including Tk 500 in cash and two mobile phone sets, he said.

While they were returning from the char, another gang of six criminals waylaid them in front of Shalmara Madrasah and confined them to a nearby house.
