Girl killed allegedly by \\\'boyfriend\\\' in Ctg hotel

CHITTAGONG, May 19 (UNB): A young girl was slaughtered allegedly by her boyfriend in a room of a residential hotel in the Station Road area of the city early Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Joytsna Begum (21).

Police arrested her boyfriend Zakir, a resident of Kishoreganj from the spot.

Sub-inspector (SI) Kamruzzaman of Kotwali Police Station said the boarders of Hotel Arafat called in police after hearing a hue and cry from inside a room of the hotel around 5:00 am.

On information, police recovered the slaughtered body of Joytsna and arrested Zakir with a sharp weapon around 5:30 am.

Later, the body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Joytsna and Zakir had rented a room in the hotel impersonating themselves as husband and wife after Sunday midnight, said hotel sources.
