Goal to make edn system world-class: Ehsanul Haque

Newly-appointed Education, Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon on Wednesday said the main goal of the new government is to upgrade Bangladesh's education system to international standards and ensure vocational education, reports BSS.
He said steps will be taken to formulate a modern and scientific curriculum by removing irregularities prevailed in the country's education sector in the last 17 years.
Milon made the remarks while talking to reporters at the Secretariat after taking charge of the ministry.
Earlier, he was welcomed by ministry officials upon his arrival at the ministry at around 01:00 pm. Later, Milon exchanged greetings with the concerned officials. "We have taken charge today. We will prepare a 'plan layout' or action plan on the current state of the ministry and future actions,” he added.
