Govt condemns attack on ethnic minority students

The interim government on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on the peaceful gathering of a group of ethnic minority students in front of the capital's National Curriculum and Textbook Board office in Motijheel.

The government has ordered an investigation into the attack carried out on Wednesday, said a statement released by the CA Office.

Two persons have already been arrested in this connection and perpetrators will soon be arrested, the statement also said.

"All miscreants will be brought to justice," it further said, adding that currently the authorities are identifying the suspects.

There is no place for mob violence, racial hatred, and bigotry in Bangladesh, the statement also said.

The government warned that anyone involved in activities which harm harmony, peace, and law and order shall face stern actions.
