Govt forms probe body

The government on Wednesday formed two separate adviser-level committees, one to address allegations of irregularities in the appointment of deputy commissioners (DC), and the other to ensure proper treatment for those injured during the recent mass movement, reports UNB.
The Cabinet Division issued separate notifications regarding these committees.
Each committee will consist of two members and one convener. The committee focused on DC appointment irregularities will be led by the law adviser, while the health adviser will head the committee responsible for overseeing the treatment of the injured.
The other members of the two committees will include the home adviser, the information and broadcasting adviser, and the youth and sports adviser. The information and broadcasting adviser will be in both the committees.
Members of the committees may co-opt additional personnel as needed.
Committee meetings will be convened as necessary, according to the notifications.
