An administrator appointed by the government has started her assignment at the Real Estate & Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB), according to a statement.
Jannatul Ferdous, Deputy Secretary of the Commerce Ministry, formally joined the REHAB office on Sunday.
The administrator has been tasked with executing the trade body's regular activities and organizing the executive body election within the next three months.
She has requested the cooperation of all stakeholders in holding a fair election to select the new board of directors for the trade body.
In August of last year, a complaint was filed by some members of REHAB with the Commerce Ministry, alleging that the organization did not follow the proper procedures outlined in its constitution during the formation of the Election Commission.
