Govt to take all steps for smooth celebration of Durga Puja

Religious Affairs Adviser ASM Matiur Rahman today said the government would extend all kinds of security and support to the Hindu community like every year so they can celebrate the upcoming Durga Puja smoothly, reports BSS.
"I urge the Hindu community to celebrate their largest religious festival in a joyful and peaceful atmosphere," he said when a 15-member delegation of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad- Chittagong called on him at his secretariat office here, an official handout said.
Terming Bangladesh as a place of religious harmony, the adviser greeted the Hindu community on the occasion of Durga Puja.
