Miscreants shot at a grocery shop owner allegedly for his refusal to pay toll in the city's Sabujbagh area Sunday night, reports UNB.
Police, quoting witnesses, said Mujibur Rahman (50), runs a grocery shop near his rented house at 126, North Basabo under Sabujbagh thana.
A gang of miscreants numbering 3-4 swooped on his shop at about 11:00 pm and fired gunshots targeting him.
He sustained bullet injuries in the right leg.
The gangsters looted some money and one mobile set and fled the spot.
Mujibur was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
