Jamaat-e-Islami’s 72-hour countrywide hartal to be enforced in two phases from Thursday protesting its chief Motiur Rahman Nizami’s death sentence for his war crimes has forced authorities to reschedule various examinations, including university admissions tests. All the examinations under the National University (NU), scheduled to be held on Thursday, Sunday and Monday, have been postponed due to unavoidable reasons. An NU press release on Wednesday said the fresh dates for the postponed examinations will be announced later. Meanwhile, Chittagong University authorities also rescheduled its examinations for the three days, according to a news agency.
