Health Adviser ASM Matiur Rahman Sunday urged the physicians to get ready for tackling the post-flood diseases along with the current spate of mass psychogenic illness in the country, reports UNB.
"Take preparations to address the water-borne diseases, a post-flood phenomenon," he said, speaking as chief guest at a seminar on 'Mass Psychogenic Illness' at the Health Directorate.
Directorate General of Health Services and Institute of Epidemiology, Diseases Control and Research (IEDCR) jointly organised the seminar.
Chaired by Director General of Health Services M Shahjahan Biswas, the seminar was attended by principals and departmental directors of medical colleges and civil surgeons from across the country.
"You have to effectively face the various problems of pre-flood, during the flood and post flood situation," the Health Adviser told the physicians.
