Heritage Foundation to be activated, Copyright Act amended: Adviser

Adviser for Women and Children, and Cultural Affairs Rasheda K Chowdhury said Heritage Foundation will be activated as well as Copyright Act amended.

The adviser said this while speaking at a roundtable with the renowned composers, lyricists and artistes at the Daily Prothom Alo office in the city Sunday, reports UNB.

The roundtable, moderated by Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman, discussed establishing the copyrights of songs. The discussants also agreed to implement Copyright Act properly.

BTRC Chairman Maj Gen (retd) Monjurul Alam, Poet Nurul Huda, Barrister Modasser Hossain, Sanaullah Lablu of ABC Radio, singers Syed Abdul Hadi, Runa Laila, Khurshid Alam, Kumar Biswajit, Rafiqul Alam, Abida Sultana, Endru Kishore, Aiyub Bachchu, Kanak Chanpa and Momtaz were, among others, present in the meeting.
