\\\'Higher edn needs connection with foreign varsities\\\'

Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) Prof A K Azad Chowdhury said the country's higher education needs to establish academic and research connections with foreign universities in order to improve its standard, reports UNB.

"Higher education cannot prosper and thrive without its internationalisation. Academic and research collaboration with foreign universities is highly needed for internationalisation of higher education," the UGC chairman made the observation while addressing as the chief guest an international conference on "Breakthrough Management Strategies for Improving Organisational Performance and Empowerment" jointly organised by Dhaka University (DU) and Monash University at DU Business Studies Conference Hall Tuesday.
