Huge arms seized, two held in Feni

FENI, Oct 26 (UNB): Police in a drive at a house of a Jubo Dal leader at Char Chandia village under Sonagazi Upazila seized arms, ammunition and bombs and arrested two terrorists on the spot Thursday.
Local people informed police that some terrorists along with arms and ammunition gathered at the house of Chandia union Jubo Dal president Abdur Rahman alias Sandwip Manik for committing a piracy in Sonagazi estuary of Bay of Bengal.
Police said on the basis of information, a team led by OC Mohammad Ali raided the house in the evening and arrested two terrorists - Sufian (22) and Mohammad Faruq (35) - while others managed to flee.
Later, they searched the house and recovered one foreign gun, two one-barrel guns, two light guns, three sharp knives, 14 cartridges, two torches and four bombs.
A case was filed in this connection.
Another report from Chandpur adds: Police in a raid arrested the main accused of sensational Zakir Hossain murder case and top terror Mamun (25), son of Makram Ali from Kaliapara Bazar under Shaharasti Upazila Thursday.
Police said Mamun was also wanted in a number of other criminal cases.
