IBA Debate Championship August 10

The three-day 'IBA National English Debate Championship-2007' will begin at the Institute of Business Administration of Dhaka University August 10.
Some 24 teams from the country's 17 reputed public and private universities including DU, IBA, BUET, Rajshahi University, Chittagong Uni-versity, AIUB, IUB and NSU will participate in the competition.
IBA is organising the debate tournament while country's leading conglomerate Advance Chemical Industries (ACI) Ltd sponsoring the event.
Organisers at a press briefing at DU Tuesday said the tournament would be held in parliamentary debate format. The debaters will also focus on the current reform issues in the country.
