ICT services to reach every upazila: Mahbub Anam

Newly appointed Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Fakir Mahbub Anam said on Wednesday that transparency and accountability will be the guiding principles of the country's ICT sector.

Speaking at a reception organised by the ICT Division at its conference room in the capital, the minister placed the highest emphasis on ensuring transparency and accountability across the ICT sector.

Professional integrity and commitment of officials would be essential in implementing government policies, he added.

Describing ICT as a highly important and promising sector, he said the government's priority is to expand ICT services to every upazila and make technological benefits easily accessible to citizens. The minister urged the officials to carry out their responsibilities diligently from their respective positions.
