IELTS examinees can now register online

IELTS examinees from now on can register for the examination online as a result of a new British Council initiative.
The IELTS candidates can register from today (Sunday) for the test at the British Council on website www.britishcouncil.org/bangladesh, said a press release.
Although candidates will not be able to pay online initially, processes are underway to introduce online payment as well, the press release said, adding that the payment can either be made through Standard Chartered Bank branches or at the British Council offices in Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong.
A three-month long promotional campaign of the new system is starting from today and will continue until February 15, 2010 under which each month one candidate can win two tickets for the Dhaka-Malaysia-Dhaka route, the press release said.
