Imtiaz Hossain made BD envoy to Australia

The government appointed Wednesday Kazi Imtiaz Hossain, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia, reports UNB.

A career diplomat, Hossain served in Bangladesh missions in New York, Kolkata, Geneva and Beijing in various capacities apart from his present assignment as Ambassador to Thailand.

He did his Bachelor and Masters in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. Hossain also obtained Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy from International Institute of Public Administration in Paris, said a Foreign Ministry media release.
