Indian among 2 found dead along border

BENAPOLE, Oct 11 (UNB): Two people, including an Indian citizen, were found dead in separate incidents here on Saturday.

Apurba Hasan, officer-in-charge of Port Police Station, said being informed by locals, police recovered the hanging body of a Bangladeshi national from Putkhali bordering area in the morning.

The deceased was identified as Rabindra Nath Bepari, 35, son of Punyacharan Bepari of Batiaghata upazila in Khulna district.

In another incident, police recovered the body of Azgar Ali, 45, son of Ali Ahmed of Chakgachhi area in Kolkata, from a canal near Khalshi border in the morning.

The bodies were sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Two cases were also filed in this connection.
