Indian Army Chief visits Comilla Cantt

COMILLA, July 30 (UNB): Indian Army chief General Deepak Kapoor visited Comilla Cantonment area and passed a busy day here Wednesday.

A special helicopter of Bangladesh Army, carrying General Kapoor and his entourage, landed on the helipad of cantonment at about 9.30am.

Later, the delegation placed floral wreaths at 'Jader Rokte Mukto Swadesh' mausoleum, built in memory of the martyrs of the Liberation War 1971.

They also visited the War Museum and signed the visitor's book here.

Later, General Deepak Kapoor watched the exercise of solders in the cantonment areas.

The Indian team visited the bunker used by Commander of 14 Army General Slim during the World War-II. They also went to the Mainamati Commonwealth War Cemetery and placed wreaths.
