COMILLA, Nov 25 (UNB): The Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) personnel, in their separate drives, seized Indian clothes worth about Tk 4.0 million from frontier Joshpur and Balutupa areas in Sadar Upazila early Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, a patrol team of the BDR raided the areas and seized huge Indian saris, three-piece and other cloths.
However, the BDR personnel could not arrest any smugglers as they fled away sensing their presence.
The recovered clothes were deposited with the local customs office.
