Indian Navy Ship KARMUK arrives Chittagong

The Indian Navy Ship KARMUK commanded by Commander Suraj Berry VSM arrived in Chittagong today on a goodwill visit to Bangladesh, reports BSS.
According to an ISPR press release, the visiting ship has a complement of 13 officers, four under training officers and 143 sailors.
During its stay in Bangladesh, the commanding officer will call on Commodore Commanding Chittagong, Commodore Commanding BN Flotilla and Commodore Superintendent of Dockyard. The said area commanders will also pay return call on with Commanding Officer of INS KARMUK on board.
Other activities of the visiting ship will include visit to BNS SHAHEED MOAZZAM, a training complex of Bangladesh Navy at Kaptai. Besides, the ship will also be kept open for visitor members of Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air Force, BNCC and Sea Scout.
Earlier, the Ship was ceremonially welcomed by a Bangladesh Naval Ship upon arrival outside territorial limits at sea following naval tradition. Commanding Officer BNS ISSA KHAN and official of the Indian High Commission greeted the visiting ship on their arrival at Chittagong Harbour.
The Indian Navy ship is expected to leave Chittagong on 18 October for Yangoon of Myanmar.
