Indo-Bangla joint team visits Bhurungamari

BHURUNGAMARI, June 8 (BSS): A high-powered joint India-Bangladesh team visited Bhurungamari border in Kurigram adjoining Dhubri district of Assam for identifying boundary lines and observing progress of the ongoing reconstruction work of lost and river-eroded boundary pillars Wednesday, official sources said.
The sources said leader of three-member Bangladesh team and Director General (DG) of Land Records and Survey Directorate Mahfuzur Rahman received the three-member Indian delegation led by DG of Land Records and Survey Directorate of Assam Syed Iftekhar Hossain on Bango Sonahat border in Bhurungamari Upazila in the morning.
The joint team discussed the progress of reconstruction work of the lost and river-eroded boundary pillars in a cordial and friendly atmosphere and later visited the spots from boundary pillar no 1015 to 1025 on the remote border, the sources said.
