Syed Zahurul Haq, an insurance specialist, passed away on Friday, says a statement.
He started his career at the Muslim Insurance Company Limited in 1958.
After Independence, he joined General Insurances Corporation.
He served National and People's Insurance Corporation Ltd as the managing director. Syed Zahurul Haq was father-in-law of former management director of General Insurance Limited and current Chief Executive Officer of Pioneer Insurance Limited.
