An Inter-College Debate Tournament titled "End Hunger: Walk the World" held Friday in the conference room of ASA University Bangladesh in the city.
United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP), Management and Resource Development Initiative (MRDI), Bangladesh Debate Federation (BDF) and Amar Bangladesh Projonmer Pothchola (ABPP) jointly organized the tournament.
St. Joseph Debating Club won the championship and Notre dame College Debating Club was runners up. The other participants were RAJUK Uttara Model College, Dhaka College, Dhaka Imperial College and Dhaka Residential Model College. They debated on global hunger, child food security, malnutrition and disaster food security issues.
John Aylieff, UNWFP Representative in Bangladesh was chief guest and Professor Muinuddin Khan, Vice Chancellor of ASA University Bangladesh was special guest, Besides, Executive Director of MRDI Hasibur Rahman, President of BDF Abdun Noor Tushar and Abdullah Md. Shukrana of ABPP were present at the debate tournament.
