‘Inter-faith dialogue crucial for peace, harmony’

Inter-faith dialogue, a process which needs dedication and commitment, is very important for peace and harmony among the humankind in the globe, Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, head of the Vatican's Department of Interreligious Dialogue, said on Wednesday.
He was speaking at a press conference on interfaith dialogue and harmony attending it with the Archbishop of Dhaka Bejoy N. D'Cruze at the Archbishop Bhaban Hall in the capital's Kakrail.
Cardinal Koovakad said during his visit in Bangladesh, which started on September 6, he met the Chief Justice and participated in several seminars and conferences to promote interfaith understanding.
Cardinal Koovakad, a globally respected figure, concludes his visit today (Thursday).
Dhaka Archbishop Bejoy N. D' Cruz said love, compassion and openness from heart are vital for inter- faith dialogue to ensure the human welfare across the globe.
