Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu called Wednesday for awakening sense of morality in the scientific practice and research, reports UNB.
"The new generation researchers and learners would have to remain alert so that any lust cannot defeat their conscience," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar on 'Practice of Bioethics in Bangladesh' at Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) in the city.
BBS and Bangladesh Bioethics Society jointly organised the seminar with Bioethics Society President Prof Taslima Mansur in the chair. BBS Director Maniruzzaman and Bioethics Society Secretary General Prof Shamima Lashkar also addressed the seminar.
In the function, the minister handed over crests to five persons for their outstanding contributions to the respective fields and distributed prizes among the winners of an art competition for students.
