Inu off to Tehran to attend ICIM

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu left the city Saturday for Iranian capital of Tehran to attend the 10th Islamic Conference of Information Ministers (ICIM) beginning Monday, reports BSS.
The theme of the conference is 'media interaction for restoration of peace and tranquility to the Muslim world', said Ali Jannati, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the host country Iran.
Previously, the 9th OIC Information Ministers conference was held on April 2012 in Libreville, Gabon and voiced for raising awareness against anti-Muslim propaganda.
After the senior officials meeting on Monday, the information ministers of 57 member countries of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the second largest international platform after United Nations, will attend a two-day session on December 3 and 4.   Additional secretary of the information ministry S M Haroon-or-Rashid will attend the senior officials' meeting of the ICIM.
The minister is expected to meet the leaders and clerics of Iran and other countries besides the conference.
He is scheduled to return on December 6.
