The country's leading non-profit hospital Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital (IIEI&H) is committed to continuing its improved and modern eye-care services.
This was observed at the 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the hospital, held recently at its head office in the city's Farmgate area.
Mirza Salman Ispahani, chairman of the hospital management committee, and Mridul Kumar Sarkar, chief executive officer, (CEO) spoke on the occasion, among others.
Other members of the committee and executive team, including Adviser Nafiseh Ispahani and Director Sujit Kumar Saha, attended the AGM, among others.
The AGM observed one-minute's solemn silence in remembrance of late Mirza Ali Behrouze Ispahani, former chairman of the hospital and a noted businessman.
Addressing the meeting through video conference, Mirza Salman Ispahani said the eye-care facility has been making a good growth for various kinds of services it provides.
"One of the most satisfying events has been the opening of the new annex building-Pediatric OPD in 2018," he said, adding the installation will help the hospital reach a new height through providing services to more patients.
He also expressed gratitude to the hospital management committee members, doctors, employees and other stakeholders for their respective roles in development of the hospital.
Mridul Kumar Sarkar highlighted various achievements of the hospital in recent years.
"We have still miles to go ahead," he said, adding: "I'm confident that the journey of progression would further be accelerated".
The IIEI&H will continue to lead and redefine eye care in Bangladesh, he added.
The AGM, held on last December 28, discussed various issues, including confirmation of the previous year's meeting minutes, approval of audited financial statements and appointment of auditors for the running fiscal year.
