The TV reality show Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid Season-7 has been kicked off for the seventh time to inspire the new generation to practice Bengali language and culture.
Keeping in mind the slogan "Rise full in Bengali", the country's tea brand Ispahani Mirzapore has been organising this competition since 2017 with the determination to further expand the practice of pure Bengali among the new generation, said organisers at a news conference in the city on Saturday.
Students from classes VI to X will participate in this competition. Students selected through auditions in eight divisional cities and Comilla will compete in the studio round. This competition, consisting of a total of 21 episodes, will be broadcast on Channel I.
The jury will include Dhaka University's Bangla Department professor, linguist Tariq Manzoor, novelist Anisul Haque and media personality Tropa Majumdar.
The registration for the seventh year has started from June 27, which will continue till July 30 this year.
The first, second and third place winners in the final competition will receive merit scholarships of Tk 1.0 million, Tk 300,000 and Tk 200,000 respectively. The first ten contestants will receive laptops, books and bookcases.
The grand celebration of this year's session will be held on first January 2027.
Prof Monsur Musa, former director general of Bangla Academy, was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony.
He said through this event people, especially students, have been learning the face of Bengali language.
Zahida Ispahani and Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, directors of Ispahani Group, were present at the press conference.
Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar and Ispahani Tea Ltd General Manager Omar Hannan were present.
