ISU hosts seminar on teaching visibility

International Standard University (ISU) organised a seminar titled "Make Your Teaching Visible" on Wednesday at its Mohakhali campus, aimed at improving the quality of education through faculty development, according to a university statement.

The seminar, which was hosted by ISU's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), was attended by ISU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan.

Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, Professor at Purdue University Fort Wayne, USA, and Director of the Life Sciences Resource Centre, delivered the keynote address.

In his remarks, Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan emphasised that ISU's success lies in its team of highly qualified faculty members, many of whom have earned degrees from renowned institutions both in home and abroad.

Keynote speaker Dr. Ahmed Mustafa highlighted the inseparable link between research and teaching, stressing that a good teacher must also be a good researcher.

The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Ekramul Hoque, Director of IQAC. Among the distinguished attendees were ISU Treasurer Professor H.T.M. Quader Newaz, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Professor Dr. Monjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Md. Abul Kashem, and Additional Director of IQAC Dr. Monirul Hasan Masum. Several department heads and faculty members also participated in the event.
