State Minister for Science and Information and Communication Technology Yeafesh Osman speaking at the inaugural function of IT laboratories at BUET.

The inaugural ceremony of an IT Training Course and of the two newly established laboratories named VLSI Design Automation Lab (VDAL) and Wireless Networking Lab (WNL) was held Sunday at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), BUET, says a press release.
Architect Yeafesh Osman, state minister for Science and Information and Communication Technology was the chief guest. He said in order to build up a digital Bangladesh, science and technology should be made available to the remote villagers.
He emphasised that the experts of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) should play a vital role in this connection.
The function was presided over by BUET VC Prof AMM Safiullah. Prof M Saidur Rahman, head of CSE Department gave address of welcome.
Later on, the minister visited CSE laboratories after their inauguration.
