Jhalakathi road crash kills SI

PIROJPUR, Oct 9 (UNB): A sub-inspector (SI) was killed in a road accident in Rajapur upazila of Jhalakati district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Jasimuddin, 40, an SI of Kaukhali Police Station in Pirojpur district, hailing from Bamna area of Barguna district.

Witnesses said a Rajapur-bound speedy microbus hit the motorcycle of Jasim at Brac intersection around 4pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Masuduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Rajapur Police Station, confirmed the incident.
