Jhenidah road crash kills four

JHENIDAH , May 2 (UNB): Four people were killed and four others injured on Wednesday when a goods-laden truck hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw at Laudia on Dhaka-Khulna highway in the district.

The deceased were identified as Aslam (40), Kamal (35), auto-rickshaw driver Mahbub and Hazera Khatun.

Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Emdadul Haque Sheikh said the Jhenidah-bound truck rammed the Kaliganj-bound auto-rickshaw around 2:00 pm, killing three people on the spot and injuring five others.
