Journalist Moazzem Hossain Chaudury dies

Dhaka Journalist Housing Co-operative Society Ltd Joint Secretary Moazzem Hossain Chaudury died of cardiac arrest Friday morning at the National Heart Foundation in the city. He was 66. A valiant freedom fighter Mr Chaudury served the now-defunct The Bangladesh Observer for a long time and was life member of Dhaka Feni Zila Samity. His Namaj-e Janaza was held at the Journalist Residential area Road No 4 after Zuma prayer. A large number of people including senior journalists were present at the Namaj-e Janaza. Later he was given guard of honour by the state and was buried at the Kalshi Graveyard. He left behind wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his death. Meanwhile, Ruhul Amin Gazi and Aminul Hoque President and Secretary respectively of the housing society condoled the death of Mr Chaudhury. In a message they prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
