Former news editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Syed Mahmud was laid to his eternal rest Saturday at Azimpur graveyard, a day after he breathed his last at the age of 78, reports BSS.
Family sources said he breathed his last at the United Hospital in the city around 10.30 pm on Friday.
A left-leaning political activist turned journalist Mahmud, left behind wife, two daughters, a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
A large number of journalists joined his namaz-e-janaja on the National Press Club (JPC) premises after Zuhr prayers.
