Journalists, employees of Channel 1 submit memo to PM

Some 400 journalists and employees of Channel 1 Sunday submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina urging to withdraw ban on operation of the private TV channel, reports UNB.
A seven member delegation on behalf of Channel 1 family submitted the memorandum at about 11:15am.
Dispatch Rider of PM office Nizam Uddin received the memorandum.
In the memorandum, they highlighted the untold sufferings being faced by journalists and employees following the ban on operation of the channel and sought PM's intervention.
Meanwhile, students and teachers of Mass Communication and Journalism department of Dhaka University on the day formed a human chain at the foot of Aparajeyo Bangla demanding resumption of the channel.
