Journalists' help sought to execute Rangpur dev work

RANGPUR, July 18: The officials of Rangpur Division organised a views exchange meeting with local journalists for the first time Sunday with a view to gearing up development activities of the new Division.
The meeting was held at the Divisional Commi-ssioner's conference room with Additional Divisional Commissioner Miah Abdullah Mamun in the chair.
Divisional Commissioner Jasimuddin Ahmed attended the meeting as the chief guest.
The meeting discussed various issues relating to development of the Division.
The divisional commissioner talked about a number of sectors, which needed to be addressed soon. The sectors include-health, sanitation, drainage system, communication, planned city development and law and order situation.
He also sought cooperation from the journalists to implement the projects.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner BM Enamul Haque, Press Club President Sadrul Alam Dulu, Secretary Wadud Ali, Editor of the Dabanol, a local daily, Khandoker Golam Mostafa Batul, former president of the Press Club Rashid Babu and Vice-president of the Press Club Zakir Hossain attended the meeting.
