Journey becomes pleasant ahead of Eid: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said in Dhaka Thursday the homebound passengers are feeling more comfort compared to the last few years for the pragmatic measures taken by the government, reports BSS.
"Journey is becoming more pleasant this year as the roads and highways across the country are in good shape," he said.
He said this while visiting Mohakhali Bus Terminal as part of his visit to different bus terminals ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr to oversee the advantages and disadvantages of the home-goers.
Considering the passengers' benefits, a total of 506 BRTC buses are currently operating keeping 55 others reserved, he said, adding that the reserved buses will start operation any time.
The minister ordered taking effective measures to stop ticket black marketing after holding talks with passengers and law enforcers.
High officials of the ministry as well as police department accompanied the minister during the visit.
